Ever wondered why some electric motors come equipped with space heaters? These space heaters are not the same kind you might have under your desk right now — these small but mighty components play a critical role in motor reliability, especially in environments where motors sit idle for long periods.
Space heaters are low-wattage heating elements installed inside or around the motor housing. Their job is to keep the motor’s internal temperature slightly above the surrounding air temperature.
