Position Title: Outside Sales Representative

Reports To: Outside Sales Manager
Employment Type: Full-time (M-F 8am-5pm) / Hybrid in office, on the road, and at home
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Outside Sales Representative to join our team. The sales territory includes the state of Oklahoma and the southern counties in the state of Kansas. The sales products include all of ABB Electric Motor Divisions.
Key Responsibilities:
– Building and sustaining long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers based within an assigned sales territory in Oklahoma.
– Responsible for sales growth (prospecting, networking, and cold calling) and account management (business retention and further penetration of existing customers).
– Traveling within an assigned sales territory (Oklahoma) to conduct face-to-face meetings with existing and potential customers.
– Create and present persuasive proposals to customers to encourage sales and repeat business.
– Capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity.
– Completes visit reports, expense reports, and other communications on a timely basis.
– Inform potential and existing customers of product features and benefits.
– Continually meeting or exceeding sales targets by selling ABB products to new and existing customers.
– Developing and implementing an effective sales strategy to drive sales.
– Maintaining an accurate record of all leads, customer accounts, and sales.
– Collaborating with the marketing department to expand brand presence through the creation of suitable marketing materials.
– Researching competitors’ products and pricing as well as market conditions.
– Keeping abreast of the latest industry developments by attending meetings, training workshops, and industry events.
– Strategically negotiating with potential and existing customers to close sales.
– Forecast sales, develop “out of the box” sales strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness.
– Meet personal and team sales targets.
– Research accounts and generate or follow through sales leads.
– Attend meetings, sales events and trainings to keep abreast of the latest developments.
– Maintain and expand client database within your assigned territory, exceed customers’ expectations with prompt attention to the account.
Qualifications:
Essential: To be successful as an Outside Sales representative, you should be persuasive and have excellent negotiation skills. An exceptional Outside Sales representative should be able to demonstrate effective communication and customer service skills to continually meet or exceed sales targets.
Desirable:
– 3-5 years electric motor experience.
– Proven outside sales experience.
– Ability to plan, prioritize, and monitor multiple simultaneous initiatives
– Driven and self-managed, proactive, and capable of establishing own priorities with limited oversight
– Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
– Proficiency in Sales Force.
– Proficiency in monday.com.
– Effective communication and negotiation skills.
– Exceptional customer service skills.
– Detail-oriented.
