Connecting an IEC motor is a little different than most NEMA motors, but the LV motor includes a set of innovative features that make them incredibly easy to connect. The NEMA 580 and 5000 frame motors have a very similar terminal box, so they are set up much the same way.

The motor has a QR code where you can view the manual and other important info, and it comes with a kit of parts that includes almost everything you need to connect it. Inside the terminal box cover, you can find a wiring diagram that shows what needs to be connected where. Don’t forget to add the ABB Smart Sensor for an extra layer of confidence that everything is working as it should!
